Retail gasoline prices in Texas average $1.88

The Houston Chronicle -- HOUSTON — Retail gasoline prices in Texas fell to an average $1.88 a gallon this week.

AAA Texas on Thursday reported the 12-cent decline in the average cost of gasoline, compared to one week ago.

The nationwide price for gasoline tumbled by 15 cents, to settle at $2.02 per gallon.

AAA Texas reported the cheapest gasoline in its weekly survey was in Amarillo, at $1.81 a gallon. El Paso had the highest average price, at $2.14 a gallon.

Texas average $1.88. Texans may decide at the last minute to travel over Thanksgiving?
But, Oklahoma and Kansas have less fuel costs than Texas.
With cheaper fuel prices other people may very well decide to travel too.

have seen prices around 1.66 a gallon for Regular and for E85 .99 cents! I use diesel mostly but I do have a flex fuel car as well.

when are diesel prices coming down? why isn't anyone looking into price gouging on diesel. diesel is needed to get everything to market. food prices need to come down especially with so many out of work.

Are these the same people that had no gas at stations and now you say they are sending too much to other states. Where did they gas come from after the hurricane? Did other states not send them gas.

I was in Texas last night, and prices are much lower than that now. I paid $1.78 for 93 octane premium.
